Make A Difference Entertainment (MADE) is registered charitable incorporated organisation with an overall vision to contribute to reducing discrimination against BAME & LGBTQ+ Londoners. Our first specific aim is to reduce prejudices about those communities and the second is to increase career readiness for talent from those communities entering into the creative industries.
In the last 4 years, MADE has run over 500 filmmaking workshops, 4 screening events with over 150 attendees, held an exhibition at BFI Southbank attracting over 1500 people, delivered 10 projects with proven employability and community cohesion outcomes and produced over 30 short films with 100,000+ online views.
We are seeking a treasurer to expand the skills and expertise of our board of Trustees. This is a great opportunity to support the charity and its service users as we aim to expand our services and scale up with sustainable trading income.
The treasurer will be responsible for reporting on the charity's financial matters in line with legal requirements, constitution and fulfilling the duties as outlined in our financial controls policy. They will be responsible for organising the end of year accounts and support with the production of the annual report. In addition the will be responsible for contributing to the design of the organisations financial strategy identifying relevant grant and fundraising opportunities.
This role will require working around 8 hours a month either from our office or from home. Our quarterly board meetings take place in Hayes, West London.
Experienced in financial management
Understanding of legal requirements and good practice of charities
Interest and passion for supporting equality and diversity
Experience or networks within the film & TV sector (ideal but not essential)
