Help contribute to reducing prejudice and discrimination against LGBTQ+ Londoners
Make A Difference Entertainment (MADE) is registered charitable incorporated organisation with an overall vision to contribute to reducing discrimination against BAME & LGBTQ+ Londoners. Our first specific aim is to reduce prejudices about those communities and the second is to increase career readiness for talent from those communities entering into the creative industries.
In the last 4 years, MADE has run over 500 filmmaking workshops, 4 screening events with over 150 attendees, held an exhibition at BFI Southbank attracting over 1500 people, delivered 10 projects with proven employability and community cohesion outcomes and produced over 30 short films with 100,000+ online views.
We're seeking participants to meet regularly to work on a documentary feature film aimed at challenging LGBTQ+ phobias and racism experienced by QTPOC.
The film will be distributed to film festivals, community groups, toured to schools, colleges and universities in London and submitted to broadcasters and distributors for consideration. This is a great opportunity to develop skills, gain a broadcast / IMDB credit, make new friends, have fun and make a difference!
We're recruiting participants who have an interest in working in front of the camera (presenters, interviews or documentary subjects) and / or behind the scenes (segment producers, camera operator, sound recordists). We also have opportunities for those interested in editing, marketing and distributing the content. Training will be provided where necessary.
Rainbow Films focuses on people of colour within the LGBTQ+ community however anyone with a passion for film-making and promoting equality/diversity can get involved!
